It's been a while

Hi my friends,

I've been back from my family visit for a while. Even though I haven't post I did came directly to sew. I missed my sewing machine, what can I say? LOL. Well, what happens is that I came directly to test a couple of patterns. You'll get to see them as soon as they are released.

From the fabrics I got I have already made 3 bags. Yes, I'm in a roll!!! With new fabric creativity flows easily.

A Tribal Bucket Bag:
I love that red tribal fabric. I got it at Joann's with this bag design in mind and was very please on the look. I used the modified version of the Bigger on the Inside pattern from Dog Under My Desk I made previously. I made some further size modifications for a nice proportion. For me it needs to feel balanced.

The Manhattan Bag
Another great find was this numbers canvas fabric. Right away I knew I'll use it for The Manhattan Bag from Emmaline Bags for the Bag of the Month Club 2015. This is the Mama Version. I added some faux piping to add interest. I skipped the flap pocket on this one but is still awesome.

The Zinnia Bag

This pattern I got from Blue Calla Patterns at Etsy. Is a simple and yet elegant design. For this version I think I was thinking on some chocolate and caramel! LOL. The middle panel fabric is also one of my new fabrics. Is a canvas as well as the solid brown. It closes with a recessed zipper and is a large bag.

I have quite a list of bags to do already. I matched fabrics and designs. Love the match making step!! My shop will be getting packed with new purses. All of these are already available at www.NormasBagBoutique.etsy.com

Thanks for visiting. Happy Sewing Area Here!!
