Happy 2015 !!!

I'm looking forward to 2015.

I thought of sleeping through the end of 2014 but I know I won't be able because of the firecrackers (I believe that's the name in english). I also have to take care of my poor mutt doggy who gets all shakey with the loud noises. My husband is trying to get something that will keep her calm.

Anyway, I hope 2015 will be better than  2014. I'll keep sewing bags and taking care of my shop.

Here are a couple of bags I made for clients as custom orders. This first client brought me a pair of jeans to transform to a Big Tote. I didn't like the experience but she was very satiusfied with the results. I added a recessed zipper on top and some lining with a zipper and slip pocket. I used leather straps.

This second client asked for a Two Zip Hipster (from Dog Under My Desk) with the mustaches fabric. She also wanted a Paris, France wallet.

I like how the purse looks. I might use the pattern again this way; with an accent fabric on the pockets. Some people are a bit afraid of an all print purse.

I wish you a very happy New Year and may you be blessed with health and lots of fabric to sew.

Two Serendipity Hipster Bags

I forgot to share with you these bags I made recently. They were made using the Serendipity Hipster Bag pattern fron Chris W Designs. You can get your copy here. This is a great design and the instructions are very thorough. Lots of pictures are included with the instructions.

The design is very appropiate for teens so I used these playful fabrics. They are available at my shop:

My Purse Palooza 2014 Prize

I've neglected the blog for a while. I really was feeling a bit blue and didn't feel like sharing. I think is because of the Holidays, and being away from family. I might make a trip after Christmas. But finally here I am.

I wanted to show you my prize from the random chosen winner of the Purse Palooza 2014. I got two gift certificates, one from Zipper Island on Etsy and the other from Fat Quarter Shop each for $25. That was a great prize. Here's what I got with it.

Somehow blogger turns the pictures 90 degrees every now and then but you can still see my goodies. I picked some sale fabrics from the Fat Quarter Shop to maximize my prize. :-) You can see my beloved chevrons there. Then from Zipper Island I got a size assortment of handbag zippers. They carry many different sizes and they do have colors but I chose all black since it's the one I use the most.

I've been invited to a small craft show at my daughter's job next week. A friend of hers already bought some stuff and showed it all up. So it might go well by what my daughter says the reaction was. Let's hope so!

I'll try to come back to you soon and let you know what I'm up to.
