March Bags

Hi everyone,

I'm copying Maria from Mia Creates on showing all projects of a month in a picture every time a month is over. Thanks Maria for the idea. Is a good way for me to easily see what I accomplished in the month and at the end of the year.

Just yesterday I finished another Get Carded Wallet from Dog Under My Desk. This one I made from a nice whimsy fabric with mustaches from the Geekly Chic Fabric Collection. I cut several at the same time and I thought I was going to be able to finish at least two yesterday but I got busy on other non-sewing things that stole some of my sewing time. So you'll see the rest on a later post.

This bag I made for a client who chose the pattern and fabric. The picture is terrible since the twill is really black and somehow it looks navy. The flap is made of a batik fabric that she loved. I wouldn't have paired it with black but the client really liked it like that. Not bad.

Later this month I'll be visiting relatives in the US, including my sister who got a bone marrow transplant because of leukemia back in January. She's recovering very well, thank God. I love her and miss her. She needs to go to appointments every week and the family is trying to help one at a time. So it's my turn and I'll share with her and another sister too. I'm going to be away from my sewing machine until the very end of May since I'm also visiting my mom and daughter. I might not be able to post but I'll have internet access.

I'll try get some things sewn before leaving, like the just released April Bag of the Month. I think I'll be sewing a lot in June trying to catch up. ;-)

  1. Thanks for the mention Norma. I Like to do this at the end of the month becasue it makes it easier for me and my followers to see what I made in that month rather than click through every post.
I like the bag you made for the customer, I wouldn't have chosen black either but it looks nice with blue LOLL

    1. Well, thanks for the idea. Yes, maybe the camera thought "it's gotta be blue and not black". LOL

  2. It's a great idea to review your productivity every month. Sometimes you do more than you think you do and sometimes less. Enjoy your visit with family. There will be time to sew when you get home.
